My research interests focus on elucidating the roles of molecular chaperones in the assembly and regulation of multi-protein complexes. I employ cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography techniques to study protein complexes. I am particularly interested in how the HSP90 and R2TP chaperone systems recognise and assemble massive molecular machines involved in cilia functions and DNA repair. Additionally, we utilise our structural work as a platform to design small molecules aimed at treating ciliopathies and other rare diseases.
